The nesting box is designed to attract blackbirds, wagtails,
robins, flycatchers etc.
The nesting box is open fronted for the larger birds. It comes
with an insert that can make the opening smaller. With the insert
making the opening 7 x 8 cm, it is especially attractive to robins,
dunnocks and flycatchers while the full open front is more attractive
to the larger blackbird and thrushes.
How the nesting box is mounted is very important for the type
of bird it attracts. It is very important not to mount the box
in direct sunlight and to find a site that offers protection from
predators. You have to think like a cat or a magpie, and site
the nestingbox so the birds can be safe from these predators.
If you mount the nesting box low hidden in vegetation, your chances
of success are greatly enhanced.
The nesting box must be assembled, this is easily done without
the use of tools, just follow the included assembly instructions
and users guide.
Durable.
The nesting box last much longer than traditional wooden boxes,
it doesn't rot. The nesting box is made from the environmentally
friendly polypropylene, known from toys, softdrink bottles and
toothbrushes. The color and design of the box blends very well
with nature, a joy for the birds and for you.
